To Cary Out Electrical full Inspection and test , excluding out building , heating control outside lights. Fixed installation testing involves testing the electrical circuits and systems that distribute electricity around a building. All electrical circuits in a building that are fixed, such as lighting, socket outlets.

Do I need an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR)?

If you're a landlord and rent out a property in Scotland from 1st December 2015 you will be responsible for ensuring that your properties are electrically safe. This covers any installation in the property that supply electricity, fixtures and fittings and any appliances provided by you under the tenancy. You may know this document as an Electrical Safety Certificate, but please check to ensure it meets the current legal requirements.

As a minimum, an electrical safety inspection must be carried out before the tenancy starts, and during the tenancy at intervals of no more than 5 years from the date of the previous inspection. A copy of the most recent report must be provided to the tenants.

Outside of Scotland it is the responsibility of the landlord to ensure that the property is safe to use before a new tenant moves in.
